I heard for years I should start taking care of my skin but I didn’t take it too seriously. I am in my late 30’s and wish I had started sooner. Especially since I had some scary moles removed and they even removed a chunk of skin from my thigh. So while I started becoming my conscious of sun exposure (thanks tanning beds) I also started to rethink my overall skin care.
So here are some products I’ve been testing out lately. Some are preventative, hoping I don’t get fine lines or wrinkles. Others are to brighten my skin, reduce my dark circles, boost collagen, and rejuvenate my skin.
Let’s start with a Retinol eye cream. You can’t skim a beauty website without seeing it or watch a skin care commercial without hearing about Retinol creams. So what is it?
On a basic level Retinol, when combined with a retinoid like Vitamin A, has been shown to promote skin renewal, brighten skin tone, and boost the collagen production.
So before investing in an extremely costly product,I am frugal after all, I started giving YEOTH retinol eye cream a try. It’s boosted with Hyaluronic acid and green tea to help with anti wrinkle, anti aging and helps moisturize & hydrate the skin. I have been using this every night for the past 3 weeks. While I don’t see a huge difference, I know it’s part of prevention. If I start taking care now, maybe in my 40’s I won’t get those pesky fine lines or wrinkles around the eyes! So I do recommend it.
I also took advantage of some samples and so far these products I am loving. Especially since I am washing my face a few times a day as a fitness instructor, and I have dry sensitive skin in general, I am seeing a new glow. Not only that but my skin feels so smooth, which also feels like my makeup goes on and stays on better. So these products Have been my go to the last couple of weeks.
At night I have fun putting my headbands on to keep my hair away from my face and cleanser out of my hair.
So once my hair is out of my face in the evenings I have been cleansing my face with Tula The Cult Classic purifying face cleanser. Especially after teaching my evening classes or a full day of makeup, this leaves my skin feeling amazing. It also is great for removing makeup.
After I finishing cleansing and showering, before I add makeup I have been using the glow priming moisturizer.
Instantly more radiant skin!
I also have been using this new Glow Hour. Not only does it brighten and cover dark circles, it’s PREVENTATIVE. Can you imagine not waking up with dark circles or as dark? Plus its gorgeous as a high liter too. Sure I still use my fave under eye concealer but remember I am also working on prevention.
So as you can see my system is basic. I don’t think you need to use a million products and over complicate things. It’s working for me and I hope it works for you. Use a good, clean cleanser. Moisturize and use an anti-aging product. Hope you give these a try and comment below what you use and if you try any of these!
