I can’t believe its been over a year and I have never posted about our fairytale cherry blossom wedding. If you missed my fairytale proposal be sure to check that out. My fairytales just keep getting better.
My wedding day was the most magical day of my life! Glitz and Glam and Love. Since we live just outside DC I wanted a cherry blossom wedding theme. I originally wanted the guys in gray suits but since the hubby bought his navy tux for our engagement, he wanted to wear it again for the wedding.
So I mixed navy, mint green and pink accents for this cherry blossom wedding. It worked out beautifully and the navy symbolized the ocean, since we got married back in my home state Rhode Island, the ocean state and we were engaged by the water in Newport Rhode Island.
We were all staying at the Providence Marriott as it was close to the venue so the morning of the wedding the ladies and I got ready inside the bridal suite.
While we got beautified the amazing JOY, photographer with Judah Avenue started taking accessory photos and glimpses of us getting ready. My something old & something blue was a white handkerchief with blue stitching from my Nana’s wedding day. I used my great nana’s sequin purse.
My mom had given me these earrings at Christmas to wear at the wedding. We also used Paper Moon, to create our invitations and the name cards for the reception.
My 3 nieces were pretty in pink, and my bridal party wore mint green.
I found my dress after trying on 38 dresses!!! It was a nightmare. My dress was number 35. By the last fitting I was finally totally 100% in love with it. Thanks to my amazing seamstress, Rose. I got it at a cute bridal boutique in Cranston, RI called Spark Bridal.
I was afraid the kiddos would spill something on their dresses so I had them wait to put their dresses on at the wedding venue. But Joy still got some cute shots with them in the suite after they got their hair done. The flower girls and ring bearers stole the show at the ceremony for sure!
I had some fun with my girls once we were all beautified thanks to hair by Melynda Johnson and makeup by the lovely Ashley. Two of my girls have been my best friends forever (one since we were 3 and the other since high school). Two of the other ladies I met through fitness and they are amazing coaches on my team. Its always a blast and never a dull moment when we are together!
Then I had a little fun with some solo shots! You get 1 big day ladies, play it up!
We headed to the wedding venue, Wannamoisett Country Club, in a limo and the fun kept going. Mom and the girls helped me get my dress on and buttoned. Then of course being a fitness coach, I had to have some fitness fun. I think I impressed the videographer lol.
Ryan and I chose not to do a first look. We (especially me) are not traditional on many things. But I thought it would be fun to do one with my dad. I am the only daughter and have always been daddies little girl. I wanted to do something special for him to remember this day. Totally worth it!
If you know me, you know I don’t drink but I faked it for a few photos and even had to take 2 sips (my face in the wedding video is hilarious). I don’t know how people drink wine! I also got in a few photos with my amazing Nana, who is the matriarch of our family. She even walked down the aisle with one of my brothers.
The time had come. The dress was on, shoes were buckled, photos were taken, kisses and a toast. I was embracing the last few moments before becoming Mrs. Cenac.
It was time for the dreaded vail (I didn’t want one, but wore it until it fell off mid ceremony so guess that was the universe saying I shouldn’t wear one)!Get excited because I am about to marry this sexy man.
While my brothers were not groomsman, my older brother Chris walked my mom down the aisle, and my younger brother Brendan walked my nana down the aisle. The love between these men warms my heart. My brothers love their new brother dearly.
Okay, enough handsome pics, its time to get married!

Welcome the new Mr. & Mrs. Cenac…
Now time for our first dance. Shoutout to Arthur Murray Studio for helping us with this romantic first dance. For our song we chose Leela James, Fall For You. Our eyes were locked the whole time, like we were the only ones in the room and it felt amazing!
Once our dance was finished, I got to dance with the man who LOVED ME FIRST, my dad, and Ryan got to dance with his Mom. What a wonderful world.
After the dances Ryan’s brother (best man) William gave his toast. My bestie from high school Shelly gave her speech, and my dad gave his toast. Lots of laughs were shared by all.
I told you I had to take a sip twice, too bad this isn’t the class wincing face shot!
The reception has so much fun and dancing from the oldest in the room to the youngest. Yes we also played all the group dance songs. And by the end of the night the AMAZING DJ Valentina played all our fave high school jams it felt like I was back at the club dancing with my ladies.
Then we had fun cutting the beautiful Cherry Blossom Cake…
There was a lot more dancing and partying but then it was time for our videographer and photographers to leave. Not before our “Last Dance” . I truly had the TIME OF MY LIFE!
