What Is A Coach?
I don’t have a background in fitness I cant be a coach!
I thought the same thing when my coach contacted me and asked, “have you ever considered being a coach?” Um,no and I have no idea what you really do!
I was into fitness, I worked out daily and I ate healthy for the most part. I had used Beachbody workouts in the past and loved them. I would watch my coach online (I didn’t know her in person) and she seemed normal, posted normal things but she seemed so HAPPY! She had all these cool friends who were doing what she was doing. They all loved some aspect of fitness and had different goals and body types. She got to TRAVEL with them often on cool, FREE, trips and that INSPIRED me. Since becoming a coach I have gone on these trips now too!
Who wouldn’t want to hang with their fit family in Punta Cana?
When I started my first Beachbody program it was for myself. I had just graduated college and no longer had a gym or intramural soccer and I needed something to keep me active and that was fun. So one Saturday I saw an informercial for TurboJam and it looked FUN. So I ordered it and I did that program for YEARS before I discovered INSANITY – which quickly became my soulmate workout.
I was posting motivational quotes, pics etc on my Facebook and encouraging people to make small healthy changes. My coach shared that those are all the things coaches do, but they get paid for it and have the ability to help people in greater ways……that really sparked my curiosity. I had left the public school teaching world and was working at different centers. Which meant, my income was less and I was working a job I was not passionate about in fact I hated it. Coaching was something that excited me!
I lacked confidence big time. I thought I would not be good and wouldn’t be able to be successful so I said no for 8 months, but I kept watching. Finally, I said enough is enough if I want to change I need to do something I have not done. So I signed up as a coach with Turbofire. I continued to get results from the workouts, my excitement for life grew daily because I found this amazing community, I was helping people and finally found my passion again.
My body transformed, my mindset changed, my confidence was slowly building, my smile was growing and I was just a totally new person! I wasn’t selling anything, but my transformations and new positive energy was a walking billboard for the community that is Team Beachbody. You can’t argue with visible results and a life transformed. I was SHARING what I did daily and it inspired others to make those healthy changes too.
Some of my now closest friends came from me helping others live healthy. They are now coaches on my team and two of them were bridesmaids in my wedding! I can’t imagine life without so many of my coach friends.
I became a coach because I saw the value of my SUCCESS inspiring someone else to make a lifestyle shift as well. That was, and is so fulfilling to me. Now, not only do I get to be that encouragement and accountability to others, but I’m a part of a team of people linking arms around this nation, providing support to others just like me. And one by one we WILL End the Trend of obesity! And have made friendships (not to mention an income) along the way! It’s the best thing I’ve said yes to(aside from my Husband), and if as you’ve read this and felt that nudge and flutter of excitement inside, you’re JUST the person who should be doing this as well! Won’t you join me?
Still curious? Here is everything you need to know about becoming a coach!
