Lowes Kitchen Pantry

Share the ♥︎

Adding storage to our galley kitchen is almost as important as needing more counter top space! While more counters is not an option, we had enough room for a pantry.

I was excited to partner with Lowes to help add a pantry. As a home organizer its my FAVE space to organize and i’ve always been jealous, because we don’t have one. Plus I hate having to use baskets on top of the fridge for food. Its just an inconvenience.

When my husband purchased this home as a bachelor, he chose some interesting colors. One of them was cafe color orange for the galley kitchen. When I first moved in I hated it. I also dislike the colors red and orange…..

At my old apartment I had coffee themed decor for my kitchen. So technically my wall decor fit right in and helped mask the color. But after several years I woke up wondering how much longer I could keep living with this color.

At the time I had been repainting all the ceilings in every room. So I repainted the kitchen ceiling. I thought maybe that will make me feel better about the kitchen. But orange walls and white ceiling don’t make it look any better. We happened to have a can of paint we never ended up using. So it worked out.

The best part is our granite counters are busy and ugly and most colors do not go well with it. Thankfully the paint color, Sherwin Williams Snowfall actually looks good with it. Its not a bright or stark white and has hints of gray. Which pulls from some of the movement in the counters.

Ive been happy for the past couple years with the improvement. But now lets talk storage. Honestly every kitchen needs a pantry. So let’s get one in this kitchen.

Big props to my hubby for putting it together. The pantry comes in white or gray. I went with gray as it would look better than the brighter white. I also ordered 2 wood pull out drawers separately.

Functionally pull out drawers are better than solid drawers. These are perfect for food so you don’t have to knock items over to get to ones in the back. The pantry comes with solid drawers so just swapped out two for the pull out ones.

Now we have a top solid drawer for pyrex dishes, 2 pull out drawers for food, a solid one for our cutting boards and trays and one for mixing bowls and the air fryer.

I am loving the final look. Also it makes the kitchen feel taller because it adds height to the room.
