We have been working on this living room transformation for a little over a year now. I always envisioned floating frames on this long blank wall. I still want to add a wall treatment to them but for now, these acrylic frames add just the right touch and a pop of color.
I chose the chrome standoffs finish but it comes in a few options. I also chose the 8×10 size. The frames end up being 12×14 and the photo is 8×10. I chose a few images from our many adventures around the world. When I pass by them multiple times a day they bring me JOY!
These a perfect for my more modern aesthetic. Originally I planned on printing black and white photos. Since my room is mostly neutrals but I decided to go with color. I think it adds a touch of warmth to the room. Plus we love sunsets and some of these pictures highlight those perfectly.
This first one is of our last night in Mauritius. The sunset was gorgeous and it was the end of our 3 week honeymoon adventures. The next picture is in South Africa. We went to an elephant sanctuary the day before our Safari and it was one of thee coolest experiences. I left that sanctuary with a whole new love for the animal. And it taught us a few things we could take with us on the safari. But riding this animal was a special treat. I loved it my husband was petrified. This photo brings back amazing memories for me.
The left image is from a stunning night in Cabo. We went for my husbands 40th. Check out our Cabo travels. That night at dinner at the hotel we met another couple. They invited us out and we had a BLAST! The sunset was also UNREAL. I also loved my vacay outfit. The picture on the right is also from our honey moon. One of our stops in South Africa was Cape Town and we HIKED TABLE MOUNTAIN!!!!! (Peep min 11:50 when he kisses the ground at the top lol.
Did I mention he hates heights? Also why he did not like being up on the elephant above!
This last image is from one of stays in Punta Cana. This trip was from 2017 of of the rewards trips from a fitness company I have partnered with since 2014. We also went back in 2022 and I almost chose a pic of us on the beach from that one. I share all about our Punta Cana Vacay here. This is us celebrating hard work along side our friends in a beautiful resort.
These frames not only add BEAUTY to our space. They also capture some of our FAVE memories and its fun to remember them every time we pass by.
