Turnip Fries

Turnip Fries

Lets be honest, we all love fries. Unfortunately most places use unhealthy oils (like canola or vegetable oil which is not actually made from veggies people!)

I love using veggies to make fries like zucchini and sweet potatoes. Turnips make great fries too and you save some calories/carbs than your typical potato fries. I found this recipe inside the 2BMindset and they were so freaking good. Here is what you need:

  • parchment paper
  • 2 large turnips, peeled, cut into mini sticks
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  •  garlic powder
  • sea salt
  • black pepper

Aside from the turnip you should have these ingredients in your kitchen. Here is how you put them together:

  1. Preheat oven to 425
  2. line baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside
  3. combine turnips and oil in a bowl and mix well.

5. Spread turnips evenly on tray

Bake 42-45 minutes, until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

Remove from oven and pair with your fave dipping sauce, a turkey burger or just eat as a snack.

If you are as big of a guac fan as my husband and I are I highly recommend dipping it with some yummy homemade guac!
