Save this for your next workout session!
I cannot believe this 6 week program ends on Saturday. I do plan to take final pics and measurements but as you know its not the final destination for me. Fitness just like life is a journey. Its does not end. I loved this one so much I am going to repeat it and add in more of the bonus strength workouts. Despite not lifting as much weekly, I have built lean muscle, widdled my waist some, and defined my legs more and I feel amazing. Its been so fun to do this along with many other woman inside my private virtual bootcamp group.
I love the cardio and using my own body weight to strengthen my body. I love that you work from minute 1 to minute 20. I love the pace and going all in. But man…..my body has felt sore. My legs have felt extra tight. I have done more foam rolling than I have in a long time.
Each Saturday the workout in this program is called balance. It is slower. Its less intense. You still work but its slow and controlled. You do work on balance, stability, coordination, flexibility and stretching out all the muscles you have been using. But you also use it as a reflection from the week you just completed. Did you push yourself this week? How did that feel? Did you make healthier choices this week? How does that feel? Did you beat your best this week? How does that feel? Did you block out the negative voice when it popped up? How does that feel?
Life is hard at times. This program highlights how we have the strength to do hard things. When a move gets tight, the muscle starts to burn, the lactic acid builds up, the sweat pours and your breathing increases do you throw in the towel or do you push through it. Let me tell ya, when you push through it and the movement changes after 45 seconds or 1 minute, suddenly that burn isn’t as strong as it was a minute ago. You break the cadence. You dig deep and you keep going.
I bet if you looked back at some trying times in your own life you would see how you wanted to quit, give up and raise the white flag. But that wasn’t an option. You kept putting one foot in front of the other and you pushed through. If you can do that with the really hard things in life, GOSH GIRL you can do that with these 20 minute workouts.
So today decide you are going to push through the aches and pains of a new workout. You are going to try a fitness style you don’t normally do. You are going to make time (babe it’s only 20 minutes) and you’re going to make yourself a priority. Your body and mind will thank you for it!
